I believe you may be confused. FTA:
Erez Reuveni argued the government’s case in the deportation of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, who the Trump administration has said was sent to his native El Salvador last month due to a clerical error, despite a court order that he not be deported.
Whether or not he’s a criminal (he’s not - no criminal record in US or El Salvador), there was a court order that was ignored. As for all the people we are sending to El Salvador, are you arguing they are all originally from El Salvador? That’s not at all the impression I’ve gotten from this.
Was absolutely not here illegally. He had a court order protecting him from deportation specifically to El Salvador. We actually could’ve deported him to almost anywhere else in the world and the courts would’ve been fine with it.
Serious question: I Blue Origin actually doing anything else but celebrity joy-rides? If not, this has to be the most grotesque waste of resources I can think of.
Flavioooooooooo!
If I understood correctly, he manually runs watchtower to poll rather than leaving it running all the time. What wasn’t clear to me was if he has it doing the updates (evidenced by him saying he cleans up where needed after) or just pull down the updated images and he then manually restarts/rebuilds the container.
I leave it running all the time and it only updates at something like 03:00. The only containers I don’t have set to latest are DBs as major updates tend to break things.
I’m curious about the same thing, but also curious what you’re using your traditional hosting for. I also have had DH shared hosting for years and never had an issue. I don’t know if I’m ready to drop it, but not sure if I still need it.
Trick question, Lemmy IS God.
Sounds like there’s an unofficial support group for Red Bull second drivers. That kind of says everything we already knew about the position.
While I do like seeing the community amongst the drivers, I do miss some of the heated rivalries of the past.

For sure! I wonder how many people in the community remember the Schumi days of watching a Ferrari bomb around the track all alone for 2 hours. Thrilling. Really.
Like I said, I’d be surprised to see him leave. I would add that he’s not going anywhere he’s not going to be the clear #1, which rules out pretty much all the other front runners. Aston has Newey and a lot of money and a CLEAR #2 who isn’t going anywhere soon. It’s yet to be seen how much Audi is going to pour in next year, but they would probably make room for a guy like Max. If he left RB, and it’s very unlikely he would, I think those are the two best options. Possibly with Alpine as a very dark horse (I’d be more surprised to see him go there than I’d be if he left RB! But, Flavio…).
TBH, the point you made about Newey is why I tossed out Aston as an option. If they can get the car sorted, it would be a perfect place for him, especially given that the team boss doesn’t really care how good or bad the second driver is.
While it’s obviously not impossible, I’d be surprised if he left. I could see him replacing Fernando at Aston Martin, or possibly Audi building their team around him. But right now, it seems like 90% of Red Bull is geared towards him, and they’re still competitive. Why leave that?
It’s been unfortunate that he hasn’t been in many battles so far this season, but as long as he’s in the podium race, those battles will come on their own, and we’ll see more of him on TV. I don’t think anybody disagrees that he’s a good driver, the TV feed just mainly tries to find battles for position - as it should.
If I were in his position, Red Bull would be a nonstarter unless they stop developing the car for Max - which isn’t going to happen. McLaren has a long history of letting their drivers race. At McLaren, he’s an equal; at RB, it would be an uphill battle against a multi-WC winner.
Guys, they’re not going to be batting 1000…. On anything. They’re going to be breaking A. LOT. of eggs, whilst not even trying to bat anywhere near 1000. That will be them doing their “best.”
This really is the answer. The more services you add, the more of your attention they will require. Granted, for most services already integrated into the distro’s repo, the added admin overhead will likely be minimal, but it can add up. That’s not to say the admin overhead can’t be addressed. That’s why scripting and crons, among some other utilities, exist!
I’ve never understood the notion the good “can’t exist” without evil. I think it’s more likely that good can’t be recognized without evil as a basis for comparison. That doesn’t mean good things can’t happen unless there’s evil out there. I think they would just be seen from a different frame of reference.
Remember when packages like RPM were first introduced, and it was like, “cool, I don’t have to compile everything!” Then you were introduced to Red Hat’s version of DLL-Hell when the RPM couldn’t find some obsure library! Before YUM, rpmfind.net was sooo useful!
