  • Anyone I know that had success with apps, it was eHarmony. Mostly because it costs money and takes work to make a profile, already filtering out so much just from those two steps alone. But the work that it takes to make a profile also helps to actually find who you want to find, and for them to find you.

You have to actually know what you are looking for though, and ideally why.

  • Death is big. You only really grasp it in pieces at a time. And honestly, if you spend too long contemplating the meaning of death, you actually start to get physically uncomfortable.

All of life is progressively getting to know death better and better, until you know it on a personal level. Try to fit some fun, good times, and happiness between all that. Maybe some fulfillment, pride, and Ideally love too.

Acknowledge death, fear death, and respect death… but try not to dwell on death, there is a reason every religion has their own fun idea of what death is. It’s pretty much the main point of religion, to make death less scary, and easier to think about. If you prefer that, and can get yourself to believe a religion instead of the truth, I very much encourage it. Just make sure to also follow the one simple rule above all else: “Don’t be a jerk”.

  • You are about 20 years too late for any of this to make sense. China tech is on par with other countries now. It is still lower cost for bad reasons alot of the time, but good quality tech is readily available now. You don’t have to go very far up from the absolute cheapest unit price to get to the quality either, but of course, it’s the American way to always seek out the absolute cheapest product, quality be damned. And the absolute cheapest will often come from China, despite needing to cross an ocean.

A “made in America” sticker also does not carry the meaning it used to 20 years ago either. You can get some of the shittiest cheap stuff “made in America”, it just won’t be the cheapest shitty stuff, despite being made locally to you, since the company still needs to make sure they are infinitely increasing profits forever…

  • One of the main storyline NPCs is a well thought out and respected trans individual. Jk rowling specifically tried to tank sales of the game, there are two ways licensing can be done, a one-time upfront fee, or residuals. Her behavior suggests it was the former, though no one has specified that I know of.

Either way, us buying and playing the game is against J.K. Rowlings wishes, good enough for me. And I really enjoyed the game. It was well made if a bit generic, similar to the more recent Avowed, I enjoyed that too. Well-made, fun game, but a bit generic in some aspects.

I also played both in VR once VR mods were available. Hogwarts legacy is great in VR(specifically with Luke Ross’s mod, if you haven’t tried it recently it has made some significant strides in the past few months) Avowed in VR takes alot of hardware to run well(UEVR mod), my hardware was just below that line. Still worth it for me, but not as great of an experience.
