Yeah I shouldn’t criticize my paid service because there are bigger problems out there

Yeah I despise LLMs ( really they are fine what I actually hate is how much it’s getting shoved into things) but I won’t act like they don’t have any use cases. It’s a bit obstinate to act like they have no use.
I love the “but it pays for schools” argument, like how about we drop 3 less bombs per year and just pay for all the schools out of the existing tax pool like it should be.
Gotta be one of the most dogshit takes I’ve ever seen, hope you’re evicted one day!
The whole point of Linux is to tinker
Fair enough but the sole reason I went to Linux is because I despise Microsoft. I wanted a less bloated, not ad ridden, and more customized( mainly just the GUI) experience that gave me more control over my PC. Now I only use this PC for gaming and streaming, so really I just want those two things to work with as little fiddling as possible. Obviously everyone’s use case is different and immutable is definitely not a good choice for power users (from what I’ve read).
Gotcha I was just wondering what the limitations are, I’m still messing with and I’ve not hit one yet but I was curious where they pop up. So for devs immutable distros don’t play well, that definitely makes sense!
That makes sense, bazzite is referred to as atomic (that’s what I meant in the above comment about atomic being more appropriate, forgot to add that context though lol) specifically instead of immutable. Bazzite updates like you said and you can always roll back, thank you for the explanation!
Distrobox is something I want to start playing with, I like the idea of the containers
Yeah I think atomic is more appropriate but I’m not exactly sure what the difference is?
For #1 could you use distrobox to run it with another OS? I’m pretty new to all this so I could be way out in left field lol.
Yeah what I really meant was you don’t have to have much linux experience to jump in, I definitely like the idea of not doing live updates now that I know it’s an option
Was what you wanted not available in a flatpack/ app image?
Yeah as another one of the youngest millennial (or the oldest gen Z depending on which year you classify the generational turn-over) I’ve never really understood the whole millennials are offended trope.
I grew up watching south park, family guy, ATHF, honestly pretty much everything on adult swim or comedy Central. There isn’t much that offends me except glorifying ultra wealth, and that isn’t offensive, it pisses me off personally.
All of my friends are the same way, honestly they are mostly more offensive than me even.
There has been exactly 1 millennial I know of that has shit takes like this and he’s 2-3 years older than me. That’s it 1 even though college, of course these articles aren’t written to be accurate, it’s just rage bait.
Can I please be seated anywhere else
saying “It’s a piece of cake” is the reason she falls down
Holy shit is that the reason why Jareth gets so pissy when Sarah says it again down in the tunnels and sends in the cleaners?
Looks like a damn goblin puppet from labyrinth
Never heard of it, how is this distro for new users? I run mint for reference, but I’m always trying to learn about other distros.
I’m aware the Streisand effect is specifically regarding concealing info causing way more attention drawn to it, my point is that highlighting the fact that gamers hate Denuvo and trying to change that fact will most likely only amplify the hatred.
I will be more specific I hate any software that isn’t required for a game to work. The reason why I worded it vaguely is because I’m not just talking about DRM, but anti-cheat and launchers as well (even though launchers aren’t 3rd party).
As far as metrics are concerned I’m perfectly ok with that, as long as I have the option to opt-in or at the very least made aware of it.
What it really boils down to is I don’t want any unnecessary extraneous packages with the software that I actually want. For the most part I avoid games that add these things.
That’s why I avoid games with launchers for the most part. I also specified what I meant by third party software, I could have worded that more concisely.
Work in an industry that uses raw RE oxides to produce medical equipment.
We are fucking toast if these tariffs and restrictions are kept.
You literally can’t get some of these REs anywhere else in the world as in the natural abundance is literally only in china.
What you said is correct I imagine but some of the REs are utilized in a raw format in us based plants.
