I agree and so wonder how they can justify dropping so much money on something people don’t want, expect for free, and burns through resources like crazy

I legit had the same thought just yesterday. I’m typically very hard on myself about doing a good job with my work and meeting my own expectations, but seeing Hegseth et al. play down Signal-gate got me thinking, I have never in my life fucked-up that bad and these fuckers still have the confidence to say they’re good at their jobs, and that makes me feel better.
I’m in South East Asia, seen them in different countries here, mostly in malls but even in my current apartment building. Feels very Cyberpunk even just walking by and hearing it.
Beats the ads on screens I see playing in many elevators…
Oh, so if it’s going to be down voted anyway, then a lot of down votes feels good? Guess that’s more validating than a middling response
I guess getting people to rage can feel validating, knowing that I’ve made someone rage quit a game feels satisfying for sure.
I don’t personally feel that way about sites like Lemmy/Reddit/Social-media in general where things are more discussion and social-interaction based though. I guess for my kind of discourse goals, if I’ve made someone angry rather than laugh or understand my perspective, I’ve done a bad job.
Genuinely curious, does that mean that, for you, getting downvoted gives you dopamine/a sense of accomplishment?
Your above comment is in the negative when I’m making this comment. Does that feel good? Again, genuinely curious, hard to put a non-judgemental tone in writing.
I can’t relate to that feeling, upvotes and downvotes to me show how much a community agrees or disagrees with what I’ve said. Either what I said isn’t right for the community I posted it in or maybe just a generally unpopular opinion if I’m getting downvotes. Might make me reflect but usually no big deal, I’m mostly here for the discussions, memes and current events. Outside of trolling I don’t really see how getting downvoted might be seen as a good thing by a poster.
But that’s not a pipe
Orange skin with paleness around the eyes is the new giveaway
I feel like this professor pissed off a lot of students who joined his class expecting sermons or something. Did more to reinforce my atheism than anything else. He was a good dude
Knew a theology professor (ended up in his class for credits somehow) who went with the “multiple Jesus’s” theory. Apparently it’s quite possible that stories of a variety of healers/figures got combined into the Jesus mythos. Explains a lot of the time and geographical inconsistencies with the historical record iirc
Not me, I’m on a whole other continent, watching the blaze, hoping it doesn’t spread too far.
I’d like to say I did that on purpose to show how dumb they’d be renaming it, but it is I who can’t remember my East and West
True. Guess it’s more like them getting Google to change Greenland into West Alaska
Imagine being a tourist in the US, looking for an address you believe to be say, Martin Luther King Street. Can’t find it anywhere, even on Google maps, then eventually you talk to someone and find out it’s now called Elon Musk Avenue.
Not saying this is exactly the same, but if we’re letting people change the names of places on commonly used global map software willy nilly, even if it’s just region to region, we’re gonna end up with problems. It’s not like “freedom fries” back in the day that legitimately affected no one.
And I am suddenly seeing a parenthetical on the Gulf here outside the US, so there technically was a sudden change
Cool cool cool. I imagine this potentially means we’re seeing the development of a 17 object solar system? Maybe with some of those being asteroid belts?
You already can!
Well no cat does, they don’t wear shoes
But I’m sure anal probing the entire world population would cost them less than running AI on
those probesphones.
