Star Trek is the original, ultimate woke TV. Since the original series, they’ve always incorporated the “woke” of their times, starting with the casting of Uhura. The cast of Roots is sprinkled throughout, which includes Avery Brooks and Lavar Burton. They didn’t quite make it with a female second in command, she ended up as Nurse Chapel instead. Even so, Star Trek TOS is pretty woke for the times.

I think bots are “good” for making an item appear viral through artificial amplification of visibility. Of note, the headlines in Gaza and Israel pre 2024 election were a deluge. Multiples every day. Post election, that deluge of posts dropped abruptly, to 0-1 a day.

There also needs to be a distinction between passive and active engagement.

Now that Trump is sinking us on education and science, China will have or maybe already has the superior military, tech wise. They will be able to pop over and take resources. What Trump is doing is lowering the quality by reducing tech and the education to pull from to run, develop, and innovate that tech. China never stopped working on those things.

Consider the world game here. Climate change is here and that makes the new long game a resource consolidation to try to be last country standing as things crumble. Resource consolidation IS why Trump is going on about Greenland and Canada.

What’s uncertain? He’s solidifying income for the executive branch sans congress. And thus gutting congressional power over the executive branch before midterms.
