Longer explanation: This is from Miss Congeniality movie starring Sandra Bullock who is a cop who has to go undercover as a beauty pageant contestant for a case. The meme pictures are from the questions portion of the pageant. The guy is the pageant host and asks about her perfect date. The second panel is the contestant responding. She had a sheltered upbringing and misunderstands the questions intention. She happily replies with an actual date on the calendar April 25th citing the nice weather and light attire.

Officially named Pussyhats, they were first worn symbolically at the 2017 US Women’s March in Washington DC. Created by Krista Suh and Jayna Zweiman (who met at an LA knitting club), the hat was made in direct response to grab em by the pussy remark from tdump. The original idea was for marchers to knit, sew, or crochet hats to create a visual statement —a sea of pink. “If everyone at the march wears a pink hat, the crowd will be a sea of pink, showing that we stand together, united,” reads the introduction to the knitting pattern on the Pussyhat Project website. The actual hats were created by people who could not attend physically, but wanted to show their support.

Since then, some have come out against it as any one symbol isn’t as all encompassing as they would like, but none have yet given or inspired a good replacement for such a strong show of women’s solidarity.

Changing hair styles specifically for the car reminds me of some emergency responders who were talking about the horrific crash scenes where people wearing plastic hair claw clips that broke apart and become shrapnel or the clip simply lodging in the skull through blunt force contact (usually) with the headrest.

They don’t care about the homeless so they don’t care that those poor people will still be homeless somewhere else. The rich just no longer have to see the unhoused -out of sight out of mind- as they say. Then since they’re now out of mind, they don’t have to fix or offer viable solutions for homelessness. The rich hope those poor people die as they’re deemed morally terrible people who are there directly because of their own failings. Plus it makes more slave labor available for today’s private prisons across the nation.
