I’ve always wondered - what is the difference between a gacha game and ANY game with microtransactions? What is it that puts gacha games in a class by themselves?
Frankly, if a child somehow makes it into my home, and is left unsupervised long enough to work out which of the 7 remote controls turns on the TV and surround sound system, and figures out how to access Netflix - I’d say they’re mature enough to watch whatever they want.
Gold.
Nothing intelligent to say, just lol
No one may have asked for it, but everyone needs to know about it.
If this upsets anyone, that’s a small price to pay. Good job, op.
I read about half the summary before remembering that I don’t give a damn about Xitter
“A dumpster fire, you say? I know what will help calm things down. Gasoline!”
I’m a big Parks and Rec fan. I’m just finding out that Tom Haverford and the actor who played him, Aziz Ansari, are both from South Carolina. That’s great!
I used to use reddit constantly, and did so for years. That level of hostility took over so gradually that I didn’t even consciously notice. I used Lemmy for a few weeks before it really sunk in that nobody had jumped down my throat over a minor, irrelevant issue (like a careless punctuation or grammatical error).
People here tend to give each other the benefit of the doubt, which had become virtually unheard of on reddit. Even when people make replies I don’t agree with, they’re usually discussing the point rather than the way that point is presented.
I will never, ever go back.
If they’re “unarchivable”, how are they online in the first place? At some point, the data sets were broken down so they could be read and searched via computer. Why can’t that information be backed up?
I must be misunderstanding the headline.
All I can do is extend my sympathies, and tell you that you’re better off in the long run. Most people here don’t like corporate social media because of situations like yours.
Don’t worry about profanity. People swear all the time and don’t mark their posts.
Wonderful. I love it.
Yes, there’s something lost, but there’s something gained as well. By linking to things, we can refer people to a source without sending them to the library. We can show others photos or diagrams without having to carry them around in our pockets all the time. We aren’t bound by time or distance.
Thank you for the translation!
A wire brush. Handheld, not attached to an electric grinder or something like that.
Cheap wire brushes should be available in most hardware stores. I know that ours carries them in the paint section.
Remove the nozzle and hold it with pliers or something.
I’ve never used Signal, so can’t speak to it’s quality, but the founder’s attitude is pretty funny
I’m part of the minority that really likes Joker: Folie à Deux. The ending feels true to the spirit of the story, even if it’s not what the general public (and especially Joker fanboys) wanted.
