Isn’t it a lot more like a capitalist treadmill? Work hard to make number go up! It is in fact beatable in the sense that the number can’t actually go up forever, eventually the system crashes.

  • Terrorism is politically/religiously motivated violence.

…By non-uniformed personnel, against non-state actors, for the purpose of using visceral public fear to achieve political goals.

    Uniformed vs state is war

    Non-uniformed vs state is insurrection

Uniformed vs non-state is war crime (unless against insurrection/ terrorism I suppose, in which case its just war/ counter terrorism).

I successfully submitted for a short term disability claim for an anxiety condition that arose from my ADHD. A few weeks later I was told that there wouldn’t be a role for me to return to once I was recovered. IE in an attempt to avoid a nasty law suit they aren’t firing me until I’m off short term disability.

Talk about setting up adverse conditions for recovery!

I appreciate your point. A few months ago I was in a discussion with someone on Lemmy about the strategy of maliciously complying with someone that has insincerely stated a preference for neo-pronouns. The example in the discussion was Elon Musk claiming “prosecute/Fauci” as pronouns, but insincere pronouns aren’t necessarily so easily spotted. (My position was and is that it’s okay to maliciously comply with someone’s professed pronouns to demonstrate that person’s insincerity)

If you’re not tired of tutoring ignorant allies I’d really appreciate your opinion on that dilemma.

I have inattentive type adhd as well, and was also diagnosed as an adult. I think It’s normal to feel frustrated/disheartened as you grapple with it. I also recently mentioned to someone that I think I may have an emotional range that’s narrower than typical.

My wife, doctor, occupational therapist (I’m on short term disability because my I developed an anxiety problem that was causing me to spiral), and lawyer (I was told there isn’t a job for me to come back to when I’m better) all delicately danced around the prospect of depression/suidality. I’m lucky that I have some great things in my life that make it easy to tackle those questions head on.

    Talk to a specialist.

  • Russia is there, maybe you could say Mongolia too.

The near east and middle east are kinda there. Like Arabian peninsula seems

My point regarding south east Asia is that it’s not just the south-east, it’s the all south Asia, east Asia that are missing. (And also naturally the south east)

It’s very euro centric to dedicate two circles exclusively to representing the Mediterranean but to leave India and China off, and Africa dwarfed.
