For what it’s worth, I subscribe to the “use your TV as a screen, plug another device in to deal with content” method. It’s not connected to the network.

So, whatever my TV wants to do, I’m not using it’s janky apps that might get slow over time or try to advertise to me - my Nvidia shield (which is on the ropes/way out due to some updates it pushed) CEC wakes the TV and plays content without having any particular insight into my emotional state. But I can replace that relatively easily/cheaply until my screen literally stops working, rather than if some new service isn’t supported on it or an old one is deprecated.

I’m being tempted to replace the shield with a NUC or other device due to the updates I mentioned above - but I can probably replace the launcher more easily.

Just as I was saying to myself “I’m pretty happy with the Garmin I have, I don’t need a new Pebble,” here come Pebble’s marketing department with a reason!

I think in the UK at least this view might be a little outdated - every house I’ve ever lived in has had GFCI sectors across the house, or had to be updated to have it when work was done.

I’ve seen a lot of positive reviews, too! Performance isn’t terrible for me, though I haven’t started tweaking it yet.

I tried a pair of the Xreal Ones recently. They were pretty decent, though I was a little disappointed by the limited FOV (relative to real life screens, as I gather they’re pretty good for this style of display) the screen pinning was very good, and I really liked the “ultrawide” support (other than the aforementioned fov).

I’m thinking about buying a pair before I have a bunch of long flights later in the year.

And they just got partially acquired by HP.

I’ve been searching for someone who can give me more than “yeah, but I saw someone say it online” for a while now… I’ve read the public facing docs and have found nothing that says you can’t sell your game cheaper - though there is something that says you can’t sell your free generated Steam keys cheaper without an equivalent deal on Steam ([here] (https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/features/keys#3)).

It is important that you don’t give Steam customers a worse deal than Steam key purchasers.

Even if there was a super secret policy, how do you think it is communicated to developers so they know not to do it?

Okay, to reverse the question then - have you ever seen anything that supports there being something contractual to say thar non–Steam copies can’t be sold at lower prices? Like, the terms you mention above? I’ve read the public docs, and can find nothing.

I can think of multiple times when, e.g. Ubisoft games, Rockstar games, have been sold on EGS or their own launcher for far cheaper than the version on Steam - so we’re both supported by anecdata, here.

… Genuinely, I do see the difference between the two, but it’s weird to me that people are calling it out for things that aren’t said. They say enough; if you can’t make complaints based on reality, that’s a bit lazy.

Edit: for what it’s worth, I’ll “move the goalposts” on this one if you come back with some nonsense around how they haven’t delivered anything yet. I’ve played a fair few hours on my ship (probably a few hundred over the last decade), despite not having invested millions of pounds.
