The fact that the other self driving brands logged zero motorcyclist fatalities means the technology exists to prevent more deaths. Tesla has chosen to allow more people to die in order to reduce cost. The families of those five dead motorcyclists certainly care.

Lots of people in the comments are failing to see the issue with this, so allow me to illustrate. Fair warning, this will not be an easy read.

So let’s imagine you really hate trans people, gay people, and liberals. Unfortunately for you, none of these are crimes (yet), so you can’t just go around assaulting and killing these people indiscriminately, as much as you’d like to. So what are you going to do?

Well, the best hate campaigns start with a shared enemy, and nobody is more hated than a child predator. Best of all, you can do pretty much whatever you want to them with no recourse. What are they going to do, call the police? Nobody is going to speak out against what you’re doing, because if they do, you can just say that if they don’t support you, then they must be defending child predators!

Now that we have a precedent for violence, it’s time to expand our scope a bit. Since hunting pedophiles is a-ok, now you just need to label anyone you don’t like a pedophile. You could say gay and trans people are pedophiles and groomers. And again, if anyone opposes you, just call them a groomer too!

But maybe that’s not enough for you. No, you want to make sure that you can target anyone who disagrees with you. Well good news, because you can just join a group of people who believe that anyone who dislikes Donald Trump is a deep state pedophile. You don’t even need evidence anymore, and there’s a good chance the cops will be on your side! Happy hunting!

Seriously though, this vigilante “justice” should not be celebrated. Yes, we need to take child predators off the streets, but there is a process for that. Denying anyone due process opens the door to denying it to everyone.

You’re not far off. As a parent, the idea of someone sexualizing my kids in any way makes me seethe. Like there are people I wouldn’t let my kids be alone with for a second just because they give me bad vibes.

But I do have to concede that it’s a psychological thing that people have, even if I wish they didn’t. I have to imagine that if anyone got to choose, then they certainly wouldn’t opt for that. I agree that the “kill your local pedo” mentality drives these people into the shadows where they won’t seek help, and may actually victimize kids. I just don’t know if I have the ability to look at someone with that mindset and be totally free of judgement, even if they do seek help.

The worlds and gameplay are varied enough to always keep you from getting bored. The controls are pretty solid but aren’t offering anything groundbreaking. The dialogue is not great, often cringe but occasional good moments. The story and villains are poorly written. Lots of nods to other video games, pretty ham-handed but they can be fun sometimes. The fun you have will depend on who you play with. 7/10 for me.

You said the Democrats, and I told you we’ve elected loads of Democrats and obviously do not have universal healthcare. You’ve also failed to mention a single Democrat we could have elected to get universal healthcare. Can you provide any justification for your claim that it’s the voters’ fault that we’re in this mess?

Then who should the voters have chosen? We’ve had many Democrats, but no universal healthcare. It’s not even part of their platform. Yes, they’re better than the Republicans by a country mile, but you said the voters chose this system, so who could we have voted for?

I know what the DNC is. I’m asking who we specifically could have elected that would have gotten us universal healthcare. It wasn’t even on the platform agenda for 2024.
