Mostly the package manager and even the rolling distros’ packages being more outdated than arch everytime. AUR is also very nice to have. The only distro I found that did spike my interest alot was NixOS.

I switched to Arch Linux for the memes, but now am unable to leave it. I’ve tried a few dozen distros, but none of them are as good as arch for me, I always come back to it. It’s like arch is my perfect distro.

Why would the video vectors be stored and calculated on the server though, let alone be federated? Let alone stored on the instance? These things can be calculated instantly on the device.

Looks cool. It’s pretty similar to how I thought of doing this as well. Do you have a prototype? You might be able to adjust the algorithm if you receive feedback from some PeerTube veterans.

I have no experience. I just know that they do provide the kSuite.

There’s infomaniak which provides something like the Google Suite called kSuite. They also have a email service that does support IMAP/POP3 which would allow you to use Thunderbird.

Lemmy version 1.1.0 will include the ability for mods to remove votes. Hopefully also logged to the modlog, because we know some mods will use it for some other purpose.
