  • I love how in r/conservative and r/antiSemitismInReddit (Ignore the name, they mean anti-neozionists and are willing to shame Jews who protest against Israels actions as well, they even have a tag for them), they always complain about reddit being biased against them when it is quite the opposite. Take Jibrish, bringing his Eve Online gaslighting and trolling from the r/eve community to the r/conservative community, also running around shamelessly in r/RedditSafety. Reddit is effectively Silicon Valley psyop, meant to gather data and keep an eye on the tendency of the more educated lot on the Internet (as well as keep them in pro-neozionist bubbles by pushing them in major subreddits like r/worldnews).

Hell, read or search about maxwellhill on YouTube. Some have taken that the fact that the account has logged in for private chats as having disproved that claim when all it proves is that someone, albeit lawyer, family member, or otherwise, has logged into the account. What can’t be disputed as a conspiracy theory and can be easily confirmed is that Ellen Pao, former Reddit CEO, revealed Ghislaine Maxwell who along with Epstein essentially ran that, a Silicon Valley psyops, was present at the same Silicon Valley Christmas celebrations as her and other influentials. This is the level of manipulation, where there is money there will be a will to manipulate.

Reddit has absolutely no problem complying or letting US federal authorities and intelligence agencies access to all of the information they gather on your account on their backend. There used to be subreddits where you could report moderators, “karmawhores”, who trolled and abused their power. They were banned from the platform even after complying far more than other subreddits that got to remain. Forget pointing out the genocide of Palestinians, there was a time where you would even get banned from worldnews for calling cryptoscams confidence games. After Trump’s first term and the T_D disaster, the conversation seemed to shift from that failed insurgency (at the time) to a reddit spearled meme stock economic destabilization attempts. Reddit is subjecting yourself to be manipulated for the opportunity to participate in some communities, and they know it.

  • I don’t think you realize just how fast lead acid batteries deteriorate when using their smaller charge capacities. In cars and many electronics they are used because they can be shamelessly charged to 100%, and they are supposed to maintain 100% or close to it. They require constant monitoring to be stored properly in a way that lasts. Using them up below 50% will decrease their lifespan significantly. Lithium batteries are quite different, they shouldn’t be charged to 100% but in turn they can use a greater amount of their charge while holding more of it without significant deterioration. They have significantly longer lifespans when used properly. Before we had gasoline cars we had electric cars that used lead acid batteries, there’s a reason they stopped being used.

What China wants to do is eliminate the older lithium ebikes because they were built with barely any safety regulation. To do this, they need to offer a cheaper option to their citizens, and the only way they can essentially do this without the original problem persisting is using lead acid batteries, because even a cheap lead acid battery with a cheap charger isn’t going to fail spectacularly like the lithium ones. LiFePO4 are far safer than lithium while still having higher energy densities, but you won’t see those get promoted because they would be costlier.

  • It is still living in 2023 in regards to the data its operating with. Try going back to 2023 to warn people Felon Musk would not only begin performing Nazi salutes and support the German far right and you would get laughed out the door. They’ve basically made it so that thinking things through even slightly or looking at the history of the last century is “too woke”. They are trying to make the “Twit-ler Youth” a thing again.

  • Their claims regarding privacy are really not surprising, it’s very on-brand for the developer’s ideology to eliminate transparency for users in the platform while keeping everything stored and federated in the back end for the ruling elite, which if and when they decide to, become the arbiters of who can and won’t see it. They haven’t even bothered to provide any form of recourse to contest it, you basically have to go looking for people yourself. At least until mod member lists are made private too.

I fully agree with their decision, Lemmy is transient at best. They could still include Mbin, but why include a loaded deck? Actually, decided to check, yep, they did, kudos to them, they really did think it through.

Downvote all you want, still ain’t gonna change that jointhefediverse.net decision (based as fuck) 😂

  • I don’t think you seriously know the lore of the Elder Scrolls and the way it usually works out, and are really projecting your own prejudices without realizing it. The Forsworn are a take on Breton mythology in The Elder Scrolls universe, and The Elder Scrolls universe is essentially all about subverting the expectation of what you thought the past really was like, what it truly was like, and the transposition of both of these into the same time frame. Hell, the whole concept of Aedra and Daedra may be a literal manifestation of this dichotomy at the “god/demon” level, “may be” because in true Elder Scrolls fashion the lore never tells you in an outright manner and just drops hints within the lore.

Neither the Empire or the Stormcloaks were supposed to be wholly good options, the player was supposed between distinctly flawed options, where siding with the Empire might very well have been the best in an imperfect world option. I suspect that the fact that the player base was as divided as they were between the two is why they went the complete opposite end of the spectrum in Starfiled and just slapped you with the “this is what you were supposed to choose!” companion commentary.
