  • I lived in America for a decade and my wife is American. Thankfully I got our family out before trump’s first rampage. I’ve despised republicans since not long after I arrived there and figured out what they’re really about, and I watched them lose their minds during the Obama years. But watching now, as republicans openly vote to cut real programs that the US working class pay for specifically so they can hand that money to the wealthy as a tax cut I’m just disgusted.

If this budget goes through and there isn’t rioting in the streets, then Americans as a people are truly beaten. And wherever you are in the world, you’d better start preparing yourselves, because the oligarchs are coming for you next.

Who do you mean by liberals? And what would have been the best way to not wholeheartedly support the genocide?

I’m not trying to pick a fight, but I am curious to know who is being accused, and of what specifically. I’m not a US citizen, but I was hoping Kamala would win the election last year. I’m also, like any decent person, disgusted by what’s going on in Gaza and shocked that the entire world is more or less just looking the other way as Israel commits genocide of these people who are just trying to live in their own country.

Just seems to me like there were no good options for an American voter - vote democrat and continue to pressure the party to do the right thing with regard to Gaza, or vote for trump/abstain, which is abhorrent for an endless number of reasons. What should the average person be doing?
