Steam was the largest reason piracy for games has literally shrunk and why so many from the scene stopped. Make it cheap and easy to get the game, no need for people to pirate it. Nintendo did the exact opposite and has tried and tried to keep it on a closed platform…yet it’s one of the most emulated company out there.
