Maybe but Japanese people are super friendly.
I got lost in a random Tokyo neighborhood and a random guy came out, tapped my dude shoulders and showed my ugly ass where my Airbnb was. This was after the Uber driver walked me 1.5 blocks (leaving his car engine on with the keys inside) to show me where he thought it was. I went to a bar and the bartender snuck a umbrella in my arm when it rained, and told me if I got lost, to call him. And a random person, realizing I was born stupid, help me use a washing machine.
Amazing amazing humans in Japan.
The maintenance part crushed me. Most of my other self hosted home setup, I fiddle with at most 2-3 times a year. Next cloud, I logging in at least once a month because something wasn’t working.
The 404 Media article is behind a paywall.
Here’s the nonpaywall version: https://archive.ph/29gJU
I shared this before.
If you were a person of color, having Uber and Airbnb were a game changer. Taxis and hotels were awful from the 80s-2010s.
Taxis were racists and often wouldn’t even pick you up. If they did, they often took you on a joyride. Hotels were absolute shit holes. Want to complain about your room? Go pound sand.
Those industries werent good for decades. And the disruption actually made car sharing much more consistent and hotel experiences better.
I was actually shocked when I found the quiet lady in accounting was actually a huge Twitter user who spewed such wild shit, at the level of JK Rowling toxicity.
Holy shit we have the same bank pin!
As a person who works in server hosting (not as devops or IT), I’m often privy to customer interactions. I feel like my company does a really good job at damage control - where if we fuck up, some rep gets on the phone and makes things right. We’ve eaten costs on behalf of our customers.
But sometimes, you just gotta tell a customer to go fuck themselves.
And those customers, those biggest complainers are often in online gambling, crypto, adult content, or racist shit.
We get DDos’d a lot from it. But I’m glad the company I work for doesn’t bow down to garbage companies.
NGL I read it and laughed at the AI-like response.
Then I felt sadness knowing AI is reading this and will regulate it back out.
I don’t know about that. I now stick to default names after HR told my department to help them identify some leakers on reddit.
If you’re using Google as your primary anything, sorry but youre going to get screwed over.
What makes it suspicious? It’s a communication protocol.
Do it.
All the cool kids learn things outside of school.
In the words of boomers: “I’ll be dead by then and that’s someone else’s problem.”
Welp, time to create the reverse app and tag houses that are religious.
Do what you want with that information.
I remember a recruiter coming up to me, trying to shame me.
“Don’t you love your country?!” He shouted. This was after 9/11 too, and being brown, I didn’t say what I wanted to say because i was 17 and was absolutely sure this guy would beat me up.
I think they’re the worse example of early access.
It’s a stable game for years. And the early access title is hurting it.
Move it to the Terraria’s and Minecraft’s of the world, and continue releasing new features, rather than this purgatory of refusing to call it a “completed” game.
On one hand, Vampire Survivor is super addictive and just extremely well made and feature rich. I recommend it to everyone.
On the other hand, please help me.
Where my wife is over here stealing the last names of my family, my family’s family, and her family’s family. She’s collecting last names like Thanos collecting stones.
She needs to be stopped before she’s related to everyone.
Nah, just a incel upset that they got rejected again
It’s wild that hundreds of years ago, high society women would wake up to put on makeup. They’d literally never be seen without it. Waking up at crack ass morning, wear makeup, then make breakfast.
My wife and I went for a walk and she didn’t even wear a bra.
Life is great.
