Because literally all most of those idiots want to do is “own the libs” ANYTHING that pisses off a non MAGAt makes the MAGAts nut in their pants. All the BS justifications are them not wanting to admit it to themselves so they can still consider themselves a good and rational person even when rationality is the furthest thing from the truth. Even when they are directly harmed sometimes they do not see the forest for the trees. Like the dude whose daughter died from the measles who came on TV and said it was not Trumps or RFKs fault and not because he convinced them vaccines are bad. He said the lack of a vaccine had nothing to do with it, it was just terrible bad luck and he does not intend to give his future children any vaccines either. These people have no real reasoning capability and no logic at all. They know that the non MAGAts hate Trump and that is all they need to know. The less they think about it the more it pisses us off and that is the only thing they care about.

It is the symptom, not the cause. Greed is the cause and it has been around a LOT longer than Capitalism.

Both -parties- ARE equally terrible. They are all in on and define the bullshit system and both are 100% two halves of the same problem.

TRUMP is a different story though. For one thing he is no more a Republican than he is a Democrat he is there to do whatever he thinks is best for him and that is it. He makes any Democrat I have ever seen look amazing in comparison. I generally vote Independent and even swore years ago that I would never vote for a D or R again without some insane change to something and I do still refuse to support either shit ass party in general. Trump is a different story though, he made me vote for a Democrat for the first time in my life. Even the normal terrible D and R bullshit looks amazing when you are watching Trump destroy the country.

Note that there are good politicians who stand out from the actual party on both sides. I would vote for some if they made it to the election just for the fact that they have a cause and a vision to help people and even if I don’t like the means it is sure a hell of a lot better than the current state of affairs.

My Trump voting uncle had nothing to say when he was talking about how all the jobs were going to come back to the USA and I asked him if he wants him or any of his kids picking peaches in California for $7.50 an hour. Who exactly does he think will do these jobs when all the immigrants who are trying to establish themselves here are gone? He did not surrender the point being a good MAGAt but you can tell he had not thought about it in the slightest.

Yeah argue with one long enough and they basically just admit they don’t care what happens what they love is “owning the libs” the more facts you show them that they can not respond to the more they think they are pissing you off and the more they get their rocks off. 100% they could not care less about any of the things they claim to revere, like the Constitution. Literally the only thing that makes them change their mind is when they realize the policies they voted for apply to them too.

One of my friends adult daughter is fully disabled mentally and physically and my friend can not even work the state pays her to be a caregiver for her child. They100% lives on state support programs. She voted for Trump, I told her before hand she is shooting everyone in the foot and shooting herself in the face with that vote,. She said she disagreed and things will get better for her that she is tired of liberals and “their immigrants” (???) taking part of the tax money that should be going to her and others like her. I was completely dumbfounded. I told her that is completely fabricated BS from Trump and it does not work that way but she told me I did not know what I was talking about, Trump wouldn’t just lie about this stuff… yeah. She said THAT.

Now she is telling me how she is so scared they are going to cut her benefits after all the targeting of Social Security and that she felt so betrayed and she thought there was no way Trump would betray his voters like this and there was no way she could have known Trump would have done something this terrible… I had to look at her and ask how she could have NOT known when I fucking told her multiple times. She finally realized after I said that that I was right. So she knows and will admit she was wrong now. None of my other friends have been affected yet but having talked to them none of them will change their minds until it hurts them or their family directly. Most of them are good enough friends they even admit that they don’t care (or even pay attention to) what Trump does as long as it is pissing off the liberals they are happy. At least the first friend realized she was dumb about politics. She told me from now on she was just going to ask me who to vote for… she is getting smarter about it at least.
