Just put the pc screen on the scanner like a normal person
Its cool, your choice, you spend your money as you see fit.
I personally would never spend 60 usd on a game in 2017 and will never spend 80 usd in 2025. Its just too much.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but Bazzite (and Linux in general) is fricking amazing.
Just built a new gaming PC for linux only. After test running Linux Mint on my old PC for almost a year I ditched Windows for good. Now Bazzite is the second distro I tried and Games run great, I play coop titles with my friends all the time and apart from a handful of anti cheat titles everything just works. I do not need to tinker, I do not use the terminal or do advanced stuff. Highly recommend.

My life is finally on the right track.
The right track:
First I thougt its just a prank by a bored social media intern, but it looks like the whole company is built on this insane absurd communication. It was a hilarious read :D
I think with applications, like Calibre its relatively painless to save the whole library, if someone is ready to jump ship. Now its the perfect time.
I personally use a Kobo without the online features, which is fantastic, but there are many great Kindle alternatives without the corporate spyware bullshit.
About to install it on my new rig. I am using Mint, which is fantastic and it stays on my other PC, just wanted to try the nice baked in gaming features.
Welcome to the club :D I did the same thing last summer and also switched to Mint and never looked back. So basically Im a fellow newbie. It was the best decision as everything just works minus the windows shenanigans.
Even gaming is almost perfect (apart from the occasional tinkering here and there) its more than great. All my games work great, some better than under win.
Im even in the middle of building my new gaming PC exclusively for Linux in mind.
As I have to use win 11 for work (work laptop) I can see switching was the right decision as every update makes it more annoying and bloated.
The third one is ECYCE
My steam profile is 18 years old. I am using all the above features for many years and they are perfectly functional.
Your solution is to use different third party apps for everything is the opposite of convenience in my opinion. If you prefer the better software for these features, why not the better launcher/storefront for games?
Epic gives no added value to the user experience (IMO) and does not inspire competition to do better, other that the free games extravaganza to try to expand its userbase, while steam does not have to prove anything anymore, yet still investing more money in new features, technologies.
The steam users are used to a certain level of service and have a perfectly valid reason to dislike less functional competitors. If you are just here to grab the weekly free game, download and play then go for it, Epic will 100% serve its purpose , just don’t put it on the same level when talking about everything else.
Apart from the inconvenience (which is a huge reason I dont use Epic) for the same price I get less service.
If you only want to play games thats nothing, no melodrama, just install the game and play it.
…but as soon as you want to interact with your friends in-game, download some mods, look up help with the game, stream stuff from my computer to my living room TV, share my account with family or just play on Linux the Epic store transforms from “just another launcher” to a useless peace of extra software on my PC actively standing in the way of my fun.
This only hurts us, gamers. Stop this exclusivity BS and be competitive with better features, customer service and convenience.
Ah yes, P for Phish, classic kindergarten stuff
I wish Nokia was still a big player in the phone business. My favourite (and most unique) phones were Nokia:
N95 - still looks gorgeous and classy and the “slide both ways” design blew my mind at the time. If they would release a new version I would probably buy it.
N-Gage - it was a cool and gimmicky phone, I admit it, only bought it for playing games, but loved how weird it was.
Lumia 920 - I loved windows phones, actually this was my second one and for me it was the best I could wish for. It had great camera, it was fast and looked super cool compared to the android competitors at the time. A shame the era of windows phones didn’t last long.
I am sure this will be something, almost 100% certain
A failure is a failure, no matter how small or big. Just because its Apple why brush it off as a happy little experiment?
Every single review I saw said the same thing. Its amazing tech, with a big price tag and nobody knew who is it for. The magic wore off pretty quickly and nobody wanted to use it long term.
Would a mass test have this kind of marketing though?
It failed, no need to dance around the subject. It was a very expensive demo product, and nobody wants it.
if only MK, Fortnite and CoD would be the only three options for gamers then probably MK would win this round.
Unfortunately you comparing your favourite game to two vomit piles full of microtransaction and battle passes so cant see your point there.
If you enjoy the games Nintendo sells go for it, in my opinion the inflated new prices are ridiculous and will have a negative impact on the gaming industry in global as other big corpos will start copying them if Nintendo can get away with it.
