“Evil attacks”, like we’re killing puppies, or something.
Leave the puppy killing to the expert, Kristi Noem.
If he were stupid he would not be the richest man in the world
No, stop.
You are conflating wealth with intelligence.
Do you know how easy it is to have money multiply itself in high enough quantities? It’s hard to overstate just how difficult it would be to have the wealth of Elon Musk and somehow not make money. You would have to make several multi-million dollar bad investments per day for decades, and even then, you’re still not likely to run out of cash any time soon. If Elon Musk did absolutely nothing for the rest of his life (and god, we could only hope) the interest and dividends his wealth passively generates for him would be enough for all of his children and grandchildren to live lavishly luxurious lives.
Elon is not a genius. He’s actually a complete fucking moron who got very, very lucky and has excellent timing. If it were not for the success of PayPal in the early dotcom days, we would never have heard from this guy again.
Friendly reminder that almost all news media outlets and social media platforms are owned by a handful of extremely wealthy individuals and they are in full control of the algorithm that feeds you content, so you’ll likely never see anything that is critical of them or advocates for them to have less power or influence than they do.
This is the 2025 version of “The revolution won’t be televised”.
If you’re rebadging your Tesla because you feel some second hand shame for owning one now that it’s clear to anyone with eyes that Elon Musk is a literal Nazi, just sell it and buy a different EV.
True. If I ever use the internet without an adblocker, I am instantly reminded of how much heavy lifting it does. Normies will just roll over and take this since they are quite used to watching series of unskippable ads at this point.
“Mutual aid”? Is that what scammers are calling it now? What exactly is “mutual” about this interaction?
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with creating a community where people who are struggling financially can ask for help or plug their GoFundMe or whatever, but allowing these guys to essentially cold call individuals with DMs/Mentions is unacceptable.
I just can’t see AI tools like ChatGPT ever being profitable. It’s a neat little thing that has flaws but generally works well, but I’m just putzing around in the free version. There’s no dollar amount that could be ascribed to the service that it provides that I would be willing to pay, and I think OpenAI has their sights set way too high with the talk of $200/month subscriptions for their top of the line product.
…he was, though? We funded the Mujahideen to combat the Soviets in Afghanistan, and then when the USSR collapsed we cut him loose to get all chummy with the Saudi government so we could get that cheap oil.
It was tough to get used to the way revolvers and lever action rifles controlled in that game, but once I did, it was so satisfying to use them.
I probably would have liked that semi-auto broomhandle pistol, but I hated the way it looked in the holster.
Folk on the internet will say a lot of stupid shit without evidence to back it up, that’s why “a lot of people are saying” should be a statement that carries a significant amount of skepticism and doubt. I don’t see much actual denialism coming from Democratic leadership.
The infuriating, part is that I expect the Dem leadership to at least be interested enough in knowing the truth to investigate and uncover facts that could lead to credible accusations of election interference. The yokels online are gonna be mad no matter what, but did the party really expect the guy who credibly cheated in the last two elections to not cheat again? ESPECIALLY since he was specifically not punished for it despite being found guilty? I hate that the smallest hint of truth-seeking efforts gets shot down as some kind of betrayal of party morals.
…but only when Republicans lose. When Democrats lose, it’s decorum all the way down. So basically, Republicans will never admit to losing fairly ever again, because election denialism isn’t punished.
I also don’t buy Crapple products either, but that’s a personal choice.
I stopped using everything Google. Fascist collaborators won’t get a dime of my money, won’t get my eyeballs on any of their ads, and won’t get a single kilobyte of data from me to sell for profit.
I’ll keep my gmail account open because all it really does is accumulate spam which probably costs them money.
Likewise, lol. A little friction keeps the chaff out.
Ah yes, the “free market” in action.
We are rotten to the core.
The discussion seems to be focused around possibly waiting for one or more governing bodies to rule on the name change, or just going along with it and adding an alternate text for people who would prefer the old one, which I think is way more democratic than anything Trump had in mind when signing this XO.
I certainly prefer this over the blind deference that Google seems to have for an executive order that is functionally just direction to the state department and not legally binding in any way whatsoever.
The creator of the style hates the use of AI images that mimic it’s likeness and almost every bad person out there is “jumping on the bandwagon” for social media points. From the Trump admin, the IDF, and even Sam Altman and Elon Musk.
The tone deafness is…deafening. I have never been so convinced that people at large who consume this brainrot have no self-awareness, introspection, or critical thought.
