Yay for body-shaming?
Yay for body-shaming?
It’s about proving who was the original creator/user of the IP, instead of who is the first to file to have that IP protected.
The flipside of this would be having random holding companies just mass filing for ownership of everything posted online, said, written-down, or created, in the hopes that they get approved first so they can sue others, even the creators, for using it.
Look at the “very demure, very mindful” woman, Jools Lebron. Someone else (Jefferson Bates) file to trademark the saying because the original creator didn’t think to until after it was viral. Because the laws are ultimately about proving who was the creator, and not who filed first in the USA, it’s likely that Jools will get ownership, eventually.
I think some will exist in that time frame, but I don’t think they’ll be any good, or well received.
IN the near-future of gaming, but not BEING the near-future of gaming.
That could be the future, but not anytime soon. I haven’t seen anything AI gen that has enough continuity to make “on the fly” story telling something I’d be interested in.
There’s a large difference between these two sentences:
“Say goodbye to Tinder boys”
“Say goodbye to Tinder, boys”
I would like to inform you that Canadian gays love 2 shows from Oz; “Kath and Kim”, as well as “Please like me”.
Wentworth is a little extra, but it has it’s camp moments.
How, if possible, can I log in to say, discuss.online above, with this account. Or do I need to make a second account over there.
You can view/comment/vote on all of the content there while logged into lemmy.world. As an example, you should be able to click this !flipperzero@programming.dev and participate there. or !AskUSA@discuss.online.
Also, related, is there a way to just, use my Mastodon account, and drop this one completely?
I am not a fan of “microblogging”, so I am not 100% certain. I have seen a lot of posts/comments from Mastodon on lemmy instances, they are the people using hashtags.
Kbin and Mbin are Lemmy-like systems that also hooks into microblogging much easier, so you might be able to do a one account thing there much easier.
Again, not certain because microblogging is not my jam.
That is the actual formatting for all of Lemmy to the best of my knowledge.
Some of the apps people use don’t do formatting properly.
It really depends on the Articles (of Incorporation, of Amendment, of Continuation, etc.) and the Bylaws.
I completely agree that the quality of the story is kinda the whole point, but I am tired of seeing comments like the one RightHand made; complaining that she is a woman just because she is a woman.
If women make up around 50% of the people on earth, shouldn’t they make up around 50% of the main characters?
Interplay/Black Isle, pre-EA Bioware, Troika, Obsidian, Chris Sawyer, Larian, Lucas Arts, Valve, Gearbox had it’s time in the sun, as did Mojang.
There are different levels of scummy that are considered socially acceptable, and some marketing doesn’t rely on tricking you.
Think of the different ads you’ve seen:
“Our furniture is locally made by unionized workers. Everything is made using young trees that we grow ourselves, or reclaimed wood”
Is different than:
“On Friday, our pasta is buy one get one free”
Is very different than:
“Hey gay, it’s June. You know what that means? It’s time for us to change our logo to include a rainbow and maybe even have an ad (in some countries) with two woman who might be married if you read between the lines. Maybe you can ignore that we donate money to political groups that are anti-LGBT, or that we fire queer people at a higher rate than straight people.”
Or
“Hey kids, I’m a clown! Your parents don’t love you if they don’t buy Clown brand bleach. Kids without Clown brand bleach are poor, unlovable losers, and they’ll never have any friends. Now in comes in cherry, and blue raspberry!”
People generally look down on pretending to be a minority for financial gain.
Queerbaiting: Pretending or hinting that you may be LGBT+, in order to trick people into liking you more, or to pay more attention to you or your work. Sometimes this is a way to try to get LGBT+ fans, sometimes it’s trying to get straight people who think LGBT+ people/acts are sexy.
Arc, as in story arc of a tv show or book series: So, it’s for a set period of time, and then they move on, not really acknowledging again.
Pop acts have done this a lot.
Canadians of a certain age will remember Buck-a-day computers from the 2000’s
The game sold about a million copies in its first month, but that’s across all platforms, and I think that was also including the games that came bundled with Intel CPUs and Nvidia GPUs.
So, still not super great, but likely much higher than the Steam number
Infowars was/is a media company, Alex Jones’ show was on TV and online.
They are known for peddling and creating far right conspiracy theories, and because of this were often banned from social media websites for breaking their Terms of Service.
Because Elon is a right-wing conspiracy theorist who likes Alex Jones, he unbanned infowars from Twitter when he(Elon) bought it.
Inforwars was recently sued into the ground because of the claims he made to his audience about the victims of school shootings and their families. Because of this, he was ordered to have his assets liquidated.
The Onion (a satirical news/comedy website) won the bid for Inforwars and its assets, and Elon isn’t a fan of this, so he’s trying to not allow The Onion access to the Inforwars Twitter account.
Can you explain further, or give an example?
I don’t care about Trump’s feeling, I care about the feelings of others.
I’ve had sex with a few guys with very small penises, and they often seem afraid of being rejected or insulted once we’re both nude.
