Just yesterday the algorithm found some guy doing tech videos. I watched a few of them and then sent a text to a friend who I thought would like it. He asked for a link so I pulled the guys channel up on my phone, and holy smokes, clickbait. If I hadn’t seen the videos already I wouldn’t have given that guy the time of day. But they are well thought out, interesting videos.

I’m not here to correct the world’s poor behaviour. I’m here to watch good videos. De-arrow does a good job of that, it’s quite interesting to see YouTube on a computer without it vs what I’m used to now.

I feel your frustration. My dad raised my sister and I while mom worked (she made more money) and he was the best dad ever, but people would get so confused when a man dropped off 2 little girls to daycare or took them grocery shopping. Then when we were getting into our teens he tried to rejoin the workforce. He went to interviews with a guy who straight out told him not to lie about staying home with his kids, that they don’t care if he was in jail or had a rough go, but they can’t stand liars…

He ended up having to start his own business because no one would hire a man who was 45 and had been out of the work force for 11 years, despite him self-training most of that time on computers and passing the Microsoft exams at the time.

Whatever bullshit the world has put on you, it sounds like you are doing right by your kid. And that means a lot. I hope you start to see the changes you need in this world, even if they are too late for you.

I’m not sure I understand. Sounds like you are suffering BECAUSE society wants this responsibility to fall completely on the mother. We don’t even have a functional way for you to do that job without confusion and hostility.

So you are gonna have to provide a source explaining how the president using an executive order to rename international water is “policy” that Google must follow.

They you’ll have to explain why I, as a Canadian, have to see this stupid renaming in parentheses.

If the US truely doesn’t have a system beyond “once the president orders it, it’s renamed.” That’s their problem but I don’t give a fuck what they call things and I don’t know why google thinks I should.

I must say I e never played Skyrim, and I didn’t know how beautiful it could be. I might have to have a closer look.

I play a game called “The Long Dark”, and the first screenshot with the aurora made me do a double take. In that game you are alone in a northern Canadian region that has been abandoned both due to economics as well as some in game magic that makes electricity not work. The survival mode is just “live as long as you can, then die.” It’s permadeath and can be incredibly frustrating and cruel, but the beauty in that game is unreal. I’ve ended a 6 day run (nothing to me now, but a big acheivement at the time) because I was watching the Aurora on a clear winter night. The music was somber and I thought I might freeze to death as I crossed this long rope bridge. I should have been looking at the bridge, because staring up into the sky I suddenly was getting further away from it … It was maybe a 3 second fall as I realized I either walked off the bridge or maybe there was a gap or something.

What I’d like to know, assuming there is still logic and sanity in this world (please it’s all I have don’t argue) how would a company from this list have avoided this in the first place? Like once you start advertising with a partner like X then you may never stop? Seriously I’m not sure. So maybe just never risk doing business with anyone because you’ll be sued into staying in business with them forever? I’m certain it’s right in their contracts how and when they can leave, is that in dispute?

Ok, so you claim you think you are autistic. That’s fair, reading posts can be as hard as being in a room with unfamiliar people who have inside jokes or use sarcasm alot.

So perhaps then you should listen to what everyone here is telling you: boosting and account sharing is a form of cheating, recognised by the platforms he runs those games on. Elon did that, denied he was doing it. And got caught.
