Well my argument is that they fall under a different analogy. Something like a car and wheelbarrow? They’re both used for transportation, sure, but they also have two distinct functions that don’t cancel each other out.

Religion. They are the “Christian party.”

I mean, literally none of their actions reflect the teachings of Christ, but culturally they have entrenched themselves as the only religion Christians can choose (at least, from the view of many Christians).

I am more trying to argue that Pinterest and Reddit/lemmy are fundamentally different enough that they aren’t really interchangeable.

Well, I can only speak anecdotally on my own experience, but I’ve never experienced withdrawal on an ADHD medication. (BUT people are different and there’s also tons of different types of ADHD medication, so fair point!)

Will I die or go into withdrawal without my glasses? Of course not.

But do my glasses make my life a hell of a lot easier? Absolutely.
