Probabilistic is a $5 word, so to make it make a little more sense, here’s what the story is: Maplestory’s parent company, Nexon, added lootboxes into the game without telling people the drop rates of items, which afaik is required because of gambling laws(or something like that), so they had to give a player a 5% refund on their purchases of said lootboxes because of it.
