Tech Ingredients YT channel made a diy microwave directed energy device to disrupt consumer drones.
More like: That could be useful, just not for (perhaps many) drones.
1km isn’t that far - the drones that were used for surveillance of Minneapolis protests in 2020 were around 6km up.
If they needed to get close for some reason, would a 1km deterrent be countered enough by approaching from directly above and using gravity for the last km?
And green lasers
Yep, one of those things the IT department takes care of and most other people just need to know to keep their devices updated.
But how could you get your hand to seamlessly meld into the fabric of the shoulder strap?
I helped do the easy scenario at large scale in a fortune 50 several years ago after the vendor thought they could get greedy on the support contract renewal. Only required small changes to a few files and packages.
Copyright does not give the holder control over every “use”, especially something as vague as “using it to undermine their skillset”.
Copyright gives the rights holder a limited monopoly on three activities: to make and sell copies of their works, to create derivative works, and to perform or display their works publicly.
Not all uses involve making a copy, derivative, or performance.
That made me think it’d look good as a card:
Isn’t that because Dan hasn’t open-sourced his project yet
Wrong: https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed/blob/dev/LICENSE
and doesn’t let anybody else contribute?
Hmm, while there have been 158 contributors, a very small percent were from the other developers: https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed/graphs/contributors
This information is pretty easy to look up.
Right? So much of this seems like people not able to tell if actions are good or bad independent of who takes the action. There’s no way their team could ever do anything bad, and anything done by the other team is automatically bad.
God forbid you try to reinforce a rare good behavior from someone who’s also done a lot of horrendous things.
I don’t know where you are, but real Coke is made with phosphoric acid, which is also used for rust removal or conversion.
Wrong. These people can’t handwave away their portion of responsibility for the current situation. They chose to lend their skills to a company with a long, well-documented track record of actions harmful to society. If you can get hired by one of the FAANG companies you could also get hired by nearly any company.
Leopards/faces, etc. These people were fine with contributing their cogs to the evil machine that is facebook in exchange for a ridiculous salary, but now want it to be a big deal when it affects them more specifically.
Is there betting (such as buy-in / ante) in Balatro?
Is there in MtG?
Agreed, gambling doesn’t have to be for money or even anything tangibly real.
Even if my country adopted a GDPR-like regulation, that regulation would only apply to my privacy. Not yours.
That could depend on how the regulation is written, so we should push to have these new regulations cover all users of services hosted in our countries.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong because I don’t know how proton works on this. These type of things usually don’t send the protected content in the email to the recipient’s server, they just send a link that the recipient opens and it’s all still kept on the private service’s server.
Don’t all modern browsers allow you to disable auto-playing of video, even per-site if desired?
