Absolutely agreed! Arch wiki helps with this as well.
Although Ive been using linux for 2 years now, and i still want an installation manager with sane defaults.
Just you wait until the windshields become screens as well. Full windshield ads baybe!
Are you sure about that? There are builds for it on their site: https://grapheneos.org/releases#sunfish
Agreed.
However these ads need to be curated as well. This is the other thing that makes ads unbearable, is that a lot of them are just blatant scams.
I have learnt about proton and tuxedo from ads as well, which i use both.
AFAIK intel arc gpus are pretty good for that.
What was disappointing about wallabag? I have an ebook reader, and Koreader has it integrated into it, and its great.
Of course it is.
You can download different models as well. For me, without a GPU, searching for example ‘cat’ takes a few seconds, and it is not the most accurate, but still works OK.
Same!
Did not realize how good it is to have digital albums with the family! And also having a backup is great as well, for a peace of mind.
Bandcamp was owned by Epic Games, not Tencent for a short while, and now owned by Songtradr which does not have anything to do with tencent.
At least, this is what i found.
I havent needed to stup kiosk mode (yet), but whats challenging about it? I always wondered why would people put up with Windows on these kiosks, instead of a simple Linux OS?
There are window managers / compositors, which fulfill kiosk mode, ex. Cage.

This image by itself always makes me sad for Skips…
Amazing show
To decrease the amount of spam. There is a misunderstanding, the same with anti-cheat. Captchas will always be solvable, there will always be people who cheat. The point is not to eliminate all bots / cheaters, but to only have to deal with a smaller number of them.
The real problem is that new phones dont have it, while there are actually people who use it.
To be honest i dont use it either, but i still prefer having it. Just in case you know? Phones without it did not get cheaper after all…
While I agree, but i tried Brave Search for a few weeks, and it seemed pretty good.
I wouldnt use Brave Browser, because Vivaldi is there (if you need Chromium.) But for a search engine which is free? DuckDuckGo maybe?
P.S. Kagi search is pretty good if you are willing to pay.
You can generate a link, which has a token in the url, so you can search while in incognito (or even another browser.)
And to be fair, i pay $10 now because i hope one day it will only cost 5. It does not seem far fetched because they did just lower prices like a week ago. (Unlimited search was 25, now it costs 10)
If we could get a Fairphone with GrapheneOS, that would be the perfect phone for me. Repairability & the most secure and private Android. Sign me up!
