If you’re not into hiding/running from monsters, there’s an option to turn enemy aggression off so you can just play through the story, which is the real gem.

One of the most captivating video game experience I have ever had. Most of the time it’s just a great atmosphere, some moments are stressful without being violent.

A great experience, there are books/movies that explore the themes in Soma with more sophistication and more depth, but those are passive mediums.

The beauty of Soma is that you get to partake in the world.
